This was a memorable day in the life and history of the congregation of the Cathedral along with 800 people to witness the baptism of 16 adults who received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, Dedication of New Roof, Ordination of 23 Missionaries of Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM) and Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB), Combined Worship of three local congregations of the Diocese i.e. St. Paul's Church, Epiphany Church and Christ Church Cathedral, and the first visit of the Most Rev. P.K. Samantaroy after becoming an Moderator of the Church of North India. The Revd. Vijay Kumar, Presbyter Incharge conducted the worship. On the occasion Rev. Christopher P. Nelson from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, USA gave a sermon, followed by an Ordination Service by the Most Rev. P. K. Samantaroy where 23 Missionaries ordained as Deacon in the Diocese of Amritsar Church of North India. It was a blessed time for the whole congregation to witness such a wonderful work of God in the life and ministry of the church. After the worship the congregation took part in the fellowship meal.

It was a time where all the office bears of the Diocese of Amritsar and Rev. Raja Singh Elias, Associate General Secretary, IEM, Bangalore, Dr. Simon Ponniah, General Secretary, FMPB, distinguish guests from India and abroad were present to grace the occasion.
